Oh, the UK weather! One minute, you’re basking in Portugal-level sunshine, and the next, it’s like someone upended the Pacific Ocean on us 🫣 But fear not for those rainy days—we’ve got the perfect indoor garden party just for you!
Step into our fabulous indoor oasis and lounge on our lush, green grass lawn. Grab a microscope and dive into the world of tiny mystery materials. Get your creative juices flowing and discover the wonders of proteomics – those tiny microbes that make a big difference in our lives! Snap a selfie on our GIANT Eureka! Deck Chair, challenge a friend to a game of swing ball or croquet, and marvel at the stunning flower art installations by the talented local eco-artist Alison Bailey Smith. These giant sculptures celebrate nine beautiful plants native to the Wirral—eight gorgeous flowers that rely on insects for pollination and one unique grass that lets the wind do the work. Rain or shine, we’ve brought all the best bits of a garden party indoors just for you! 🌻

Join Professor Pumpernickel in our theatre for a 30-minute bonanza of bangs, Bunsen burners and brain-tingling bamboozlement that will leave you with a burning desire to learn more about the staggering world of science!
He’s on a mission to enthuse people of all ages and abilities about science, in the hope of inspiring future inventors, explorers, life savers and superheroes.
If you like chaos, chemistry and almost losing your eyebrows, you’ll love Pumpernickel!

Ray Bubbles! 🫧
Get ready for the ultimate soap bubble extravaganza! Join Ray, the International Bubbleologist and Guinness World Record Holder, as he embarks on a quest to create the ultimate bubble. This high-energy, fast-paced show is bursting with surprises as Ray uses a mix of gases to craft incredible bubble sculptures, dazzling effects, and magical displays.
Prepare to be amazed as Ray conjures up:
- A volcano bubble
- A soap bubble carousel
- A tornado inside a bubble
And, of course, join the excitement to see if Ray can create the legendary ULTIMATE SQUARE BUBBLE!

Kidz Fit - plus a SENday special! 🏃♀️
This summer, the Olympics kick off on Friday 26 July, and the team from Kidz Fit will be here to bring the games to life! From explaining the history and values of the Olympic and Paralympic games, to exploring why athletes come in all shapes and sizes depending on their sports, we’ll be moving our bodies with some simple but fun games!
Suitable for all ages and abilities.

This workshop will be taking place on our SENDay, Friday 26 July. The Kidz Fit team are experienced facilitators and will be adjusting their sessions to the needs of the participants on the day. Please speak to the team if you have any questions or concerns.
